Violet is 92. She was born in Soho where she has lived her whole life. She was mugged last year but it hasn’t changed her love of the place. She says the people are very friendly and she has known some of the market stallholders since they were babies. She puts her longevity down to cigarettes and gin. She is rightly known as ‘The Grand Duchess of Soho’
